    Hi,
I picked this figure up and trying to find out who made her. No marks, I'm thinking Germany or Austria early 1900s. The chair has a lean to it, not sure if they started out life together but they fit together nicely. this is 5"H.
So far I'm coming up empty finding any others
    any information appreciated
    thanks for looking DSC03116.jpg DSC03117.jpg DSC03120.jpg DSC03121.jpg

Germany is probably a good guess. Japan would have been marked. I don't think Austria.

Are these holes in her head? I've never seen that before.

you have good eyes cluttered, I didn't even notice the holes - maybe she had wire glasses at some point?

Those holes on the sides of her head probably appeared when she sat on that nail.

German, most likely amd turn or the 20th c. Bentwood chair is likelynoriginal because bentwood furniture was "all the rage" then! Also, pm me if it isn't sold! ;)

Wow, thanks for all those links SIS! Looks like the key for searching is using Bentwood Chair, once I used that all kinds came up.

I have a pair of these, it’s a boy and a girl. The holes in the side are for wire glasses, mine both have these. The chairs are identical to this picture. They came from my grandmother to me , but were from her mother before. I believe before 1900 as my grandmother was born in 1905. The chairs need to be restored of the pair that I have.

It would be nice to see a photo of the pair if possible.

I am trying to add pictures but it says that the file is too large. I only have my phone to do this one, so I’m working out how to do it! I have added a picture of them as my profile picture.

Very sweet! There is a pinned thread in the General Discussion which tells how to post photos here. If using a phone, an image sizing app would help to make size photos to work.
