Porcelain baby toy / rattle

    Random find in the thrift store this morning - Porcelain - inside is a little ceramic baby, so it does rattle when you shake it - I'm thinking it's a rattle. Any ideas on age or origin of this? It's 3" long, and the middle part is 2" wide.

    if you google Limoges trinket box you will see many examples. Not sure about the little doll inside though.

    I think this is probably relatively new and most likely Chinese.

    I agree with evelyb30 - if it's not signed, it's not Limoges. I don't think the doll goes with it. Seems to be of a different glaze/finish.

    The doll may well go with it. I've seen a lot of these little pseudo Limoges trinkets with small nonsenses inside. Yes, modern Chinese.
