Bought these two at an estate sale this weekend.

George Wright is the engraver and it has the plate Marka around both edges.

They are named, "Getting Away with the Ball" and "A Question of Pace"

Using my loop I see a pretty consistent dot pattern, but they are black dots, not colored.
I'm not sure how talented engravers were on making these dots on the plates.

I was told they were colored using multiple plates and I've seen them for sale on the Internet as hand colored, but i don't think they are hand colored.

I took pictures through my loop
    What do yall think?

Looks like a photo-mechanical modern reproduction to me. Most likely, an offset lithograph. One thing I am not clear about is your mention of a "plate marka (mark?) around both edges.". Printing that leaves a plate mark would leave one around all 4 edges of the image. Most modern printing methods do not leave a plate mark. I have seen some modern reproductions where the plate mark is actually printed as a shadow without any real impression to the paper. I am sure it would be possible to add plate marks to a modern print for deceptive purposes or for a more authentic look.

I meant all 4 sides on both pictures :)
    Actual indentions, not printed

I agree with Brad... the last two enlargements look like photolithographs.

Looking closer at details I think these were hand painted in some places. The ink doesnt have the "printed" look, but a different oily sheen to it on the blues and reds and also overlaps areas or is smudged.

I also included a picture of the plate marks.

What date range would yall give these?

Those dots would not appear on a proper engraving. I also vote phot-mechanical reproduction.
