I picked up this watch today. It is not working and its missing keys. I'll take it tomorrow to my classic watch guy, but I doubt it will be possible/pheasible to restore it. Just the same, I would like to know the maker. It has no markings on the mechanism.

Generic Swiss key wind and set barred lever movement, with a club-foot escapement, late 1800s.

Made by some men in a Swiss shed who produced 'ebauches' or working movements for folk who completed and sold the watches. There were many such makers.

On a 1 to 10 quality scale it rates about a 6, but so did a million others at the time.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

That was probably a beautiful case at one time. Looks like it is missing some enamel now.
