Please help with silver napkin ring SCM Sterling

    Clueless here, it is pretty beat up....has some splits on the edge

    Your napkin ring was made by Schmitz, Moore and Co. of Newark, NJ. The mark is S and M with the Co in the middle.

    Rainwater doesn't seem too clear on dates, but likely before 1915. Given the sinuous flowers, I'd think more like 1905 - 1910.

    Too bad about the splits, but they don't appear too bad in the pictures.

    Here is one of the other napkin rings, can you tell me what S 500 means?

    That one isn't as easy to identify. If it doesn't say sterling anywhere, it is most likely silverplated, but a single S in a simple font like that doesn't ring any bells. The 500 is probably an inventory or design number. I have a few plated rings with no marks at all (or at least no longer visible.)
