Hey guys, I found this at a church bazar in Main USA. Does anybody know what it is? Or what it was used for?

Sure we can put whatever in it... I was hoping maybe someone knew what it was used for back in the day, its original purpose?

    I think it's a candy jar.

It looks like it WAS/IS a candy/Storage Jar. (You might try Biscuit Jar too) No specific purpose, but to hold whatever you wanted to put in it. It's nice I like it.

Same here, from back in the days before cookie jars (to put it in American) got larger. It looks like a great way to display jelly beans or the like.

Biscuit jar, maybe. I'd fill it with shiny Christmas ornaments in the center of my table!!

I agree with the general consensus. it's for cookies or candy.

I am getting a modern vibe from this. Big box home décor from India?
