Please help me Identify this chair!

This has been puzzling me for a while! Me and my partner were recently gifted this chair. We have looked online for hours trying to find out what it is and about what time it is from. We have the cushion for it. There are no markings on it either. Any help figuring this mystery out would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Here is something you can start with, it has good search terms. What is that "medallion" thing in the middle of the back? Most of the furniture pros will want to see the underside of the chair and how it is constructed to determine the age.

 

Thank you for helping, those chairs are very similar. I'm not sure what the medallion is, our best guess is either a plant or some type of filigree. Here are some pictures of the medallion and underside.

 

That "medallion" design is a variant of an Acanthus leaf.

 

Would think 40s or so. The press-in caning is a later invention so can't be terribly old.

Yes, it is. But not for long now, because it is mainly made in China.....

thanks a lot. it was more to know if there is a way to decide about the age. but it's also good to know that I could get it if I wasn't so lazy to fix the three broken ones I have.
