Please Help Me ID The Clip France Gripoix Earring

Hello! I just bought these earrings, and they have a very unusual clip back. I haven’t received them yet, but the description said they “slide”. They are marked France, and I wondered if anyone has ever seen this before. Thanks!

Very nice, Sandy. What makes you think they are Gripoix, does it say so on the mount?
The gripoix technique involves pouring glass into a metal frame. Your glass was made separately, and then mounted.
