Please help identifying dresser

    I found this on marketplace and I had to have it. Can anyone identity anything about it? I would really like to know. TIA!

    1940s dresser. It’s probably mahogany, but hard to be certain with the single photo. It may even be a spray-on finish meant to mimic hardwood.

    Think a late 30s to early 40s date. Pre-war. Can't tell if mahogany or walnut from the pic.... or as Ghopper suggested, something more nondescript stained to mimic better woods. Certainly veneers with solids stained to match. May have been refinished.
