Please help identify wood carving

I'm just curious about these two carvings. There both very heavy and the male is 33" the female is 24" tall. I'm also very curious about the necklace. I can't tell if there claws or teeth. Any help would be appreciated.

 

I think the carvings may be from the Caribbean - Jamaica or Haiti. It would be helpful to have a closer view of the necklace, but the larger pendents look like horse/donkey teeth.

You can easily resize a photograph. If you're on a Mac, open the photograph, click on Tools and select Adjust Size then Fit into. 640 x 480 should do it.

I haven't, I kinda lost interest when I learned they were just for tourism. I can upload a pic of it if you would like, it's a surprisingly well made necklace actually.
