    Hello,
I bought a hat box filled with vintage gloves and costume jewelry this morning. When got home I realized that this bracelet has some markings. So maybe it's not costume jewelry? I've searched many websites but can not identify the marketing. Can anyone help? Thanks.

    Or maybe this way

It's pretty fancy looking, the centre stone looks a nice quality

A photo of the back would be helpful

Need a clearer pic of the marks

What color are the dark round stones?

Thank you both for your help!

The dark round stones are a dark purple.

I am attaching more pictures that I took with an actual camera and not my phone.

The circular mark looks like a rooster inbetween D & S

Others here will know more, even if it isn't a precious metal, looks to have age, and really quite nice

The marks have to represent something

If I had to guess, maybe a gilded silver

    This is all extremely interesting.

Gilded silver sounds possible. I did notice in the picture that it looks like silver near the stone settings. So maybe some of the gold has worn off?

I looked up Rose De France amethyst and pyrope garnet. That does look like that could be them. Do you think the small white beads are pearls? Or are they something else?

Do you have any guess on how old this might be?

I hope someone recognizes the marks. I would love to get to the bottom of this mystery.

Looks like the flowers have had, or used to have a turquoise enameling

The little pearls all look irregular and are probably seed pearls

Hold tight, and someone more knowledgeable can confirm more

    But I think it's a cut above costume :)

Yes! That oak leaf looks similar to the ones in the link.

It looks like it has a Roman numeral on the bottom right of the leaf. Maybe a 1 or 5.

Thanks to all for helping me figure this out.

I'm not certain, maybe someone can work the other marks, I don't see any Roman Numerals in the link. It might very well be something else.

    Paging @Any Jewelry

This has an Austro Hungarian feel to me. Lovely stones.

It is stunning, D Breault, thank you for showing us.
The leaf mark looks a bit like the old Dutch oak leaf, but it is different. Too many lobes (is that the right word?), different cartouche, and the Dutch oak leaf doesn't have any numerals.
Research is not my strong point at the moment, but when I can, I'll delve into my goldmarks books.

It could be an ear of wheat instead of a leaf, could someone check Italian and Tunisian goldmarks?

Also, there is a similar mark for post-1933 Yugoslavian platinum, are there any platinum parts on the bracelet?

@Any Jewelry That would be great. Thanks so much. Is there a way for me to tell if there is Platinum on it?

@Ownedbybear I Googled Austro-Hungarian jewelry and I agree, this looks similar to what I saw.

Do you think it would be helpful at all if I added some pictures of the costume jewelry that was with it? Maybe that might help narrow it down in some way? Just throwing out any ideas I can think of...

    Platinum looks silvery.
On the photos I only see gold, but if there are platinum details, some countries would add a platinum mark to a set of marks as a guarantee that every metal in the item is tested and assayed (and accounted for).
Some countries are very precise in their marking and guarantees, others not so much.

There is some silver on it. You can see it on the picture with the darker purple stones.
It is right at the edge of the metal just before the stone.

Not sure if it is there purposely or if it's there because the gold wore off.
