I bought this table because I really like it. Can anyone tell me when and where it's from? IMG_01234.jpeg

Are you being serious about the Gulf Coast or is that a water damage joke? :meh:
It's true it has not been loved, but I didn't pay much for it and I really like it's character. I'm happy. I'd just be happier if I knew something about it.

I get a southern vibe from it....but since I have no idea where you are , no idea where you bought it, no idea how long you've had it, no idea how big it is or whether there are any markings on it , no close up of the casters the hardware or the underside....or that thin tabletop.......then I though I'd start off with a comment that might get others to come around and check it out.

BTW...yer new here...stick around and you'll get to know when I'm joking.....

Now, lets see if the furniture folks show up !

Thanks guys! It's about 43" square, 30" tall. Don't know my woods, sorry. I just bought it today, I inquired with the guy I got it from, he said the guy he got it from knew nothing about it.

Eastlake for sure. 1890 or so would be my guess. Odds are it's walnut; that was the standard of the time. Quarter sawn oak came along a little later. Beyond that...got me. I'd guess it's American rather than British, but @verybrad will probably be able to pin it down.

Yep ... American Eastlake circa 1890. Without seeing the top, hard to tell wood. Not walnut. Looks like ash but could be oak.
