We have a lot of Majolica from my grandmother's collection and we as a family are clueless to its worth. I was hoping that people on here could help us. Her collection has over 160 pieces in total, so this task is a daunting one. Here are the photos of just some of the ones we thought were pretty nice:

Wow ! That looks like some very nice pieces,Id try to get an appraisal if possible, some could be valuable. The overall market for this kind of stuff has gotten weaker, but you never know with rare pieces.

Double wow! You have some fabulous pieces. I agree with johnny, some of this could be valuable. Are you looking to sell them or just find out the value of them?
If you want the value only you should get an appraiser that knows Majolica - don't use an on-line appraiser, you will need someone that can examine the pieces in hand rather than by photos.
If you are selling, try contacting different auction houses and sending photos. here is a link to one that seems to get good prices on Majolica, but I'm sure there are others.
That many pieces can be daunting, so take your time - your grandmother had an eye for wonderful pieces! I love that turtle pillow seat!

Your grandmother had a very nice collection.
From what I can see, there are a few that would bring some good money in the right venue.

As stated, you need someone to look at these personally. If a dealer comes to look at them - Do not accept the first offer, unless you have done your homework. As cxgirl said - take your time and do it right.

There are a couple of books on Majolica. Your grandmother may have had one if she collected that much. Or go to the library and ask them to get a few for you.

Some of the pieces may be marked on the bottom.

I agree with what other posters have said: the collection appears to have some very good pieces, and you need a qualified appraiser to advise you. If your grandmother didn't have a book, I recommend Marilyn Karmason's "Majolica A Complete History and Illustrated Survey". Karmason concentrates mostly on English and American majolica with some information on continental pieces. It appears you have a mix, so a good companion to Karmason's book is "European Majolica" by D. Michael Murray. Your local library may have both books.
Good luck, and do come back and let us know what you find out.

Wow, there is a lot there! Some pieces appear new newer and some look very marketable. Are looking to sell or insure? To sell and start evaluating lot for resale and the collection is on the East Coast , you may want to consider contacting a few auction houses. Melissa Bennie is the European Ceramic specialist a Christies. She is very helpful and responds to email quickly that is as of few years ago.
Also I would contact Strawers Majolica Auctions (www.strawserauctions.com) and or Charlie Washburn and Nic Boston.

Above are the resources I looked into when I had a smaller but similar lot I sold for a client a few years ago.
