Hi there, I got the following fish knife between a lot of souvenir spoons. I just cannot figure out this hallmark. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks!

I've been going through cutlery today. Drives me bats how EPNS was often made to look so unlike those simple letters. Just saying ... sorry I can't help, Snipsa.

    Master butter knife.

I'm going to agree with Miscstuff & Silverthwait: a James Dixon & Sons, silver plated master butter knife. (As for the mark, it's a maker's mark, not a hallmark, and the little symbol on the far-right, after the initials, is a "heraldic trumpet" - it appears in many Dixon marks. )

    Thank you all very much.

You learn something new every day. Didn't know that was a master butter knife and thought any marking indicating the base metal and manufacturer was a hallmark, so lots of new things to study.

The difference between a master butter knife and a fish knife is that a fish knife would have a notch in the curve of the tip to flick out stray bones in fish.

The only two 'letters' I don't see matching up are the first and fourth....
