Unfortunately, all the people I could ask about these pieces have passed; therefore, I’m wondering if anyone has any idea or info about these chairs. Through my research, I believe the first is a platform rocker - Victorian? - but not much else ... Hoping I uploaded the photo correctly - the “actual size” option was giving me an error for being too large. Thank you for your time. - Angie

Your rocker appears to be Eastlake style and the upholstered open armchair is Queen Anne style - not 19th c but 20th. Did you look under the seat for a label?

Agree with the Eastlake designation on the first one but believe it also shows some elements of the renaissance revival period. As such, it is a transitional piece circa 1880. Believe it is walnut but kind of hard to tell from these pics.

Believe your arm chair to be 20th century, sometime between the two world wars. It is likely birch with a walnut stain.
