For scrapping and best presented as just 9ct. Plastic and gold stuck together. Definitely plastic not enamel and I’m asking for any suggestions about how to remove the plastic. I’ve tried prising with a scalpel and ended up needing a plaster. Would soaking in white spirit or acetone work or what about boiling in water? Thanks.

I suspect cold enamel, aceton should dissolve it if you let it soak in a closed container long enough:)

Very modern epoxy enamel or the equivalent. I won't ask about saving them since you've already had a whack at the enamel. I second the acetone, if removed it must be.

The acetone didn’t budge the plastic/resin stuff. They will go as is for recycling to the jeweller. I would wait a very long time to sell these at the occasional Vintage Fair I do, (I don’t sell online). At the moment it’s ‘Needs must when the devil drives’
