Plaque inscription- help

Or maybe painted cast iron? Weights apparently 15kg. Don’t have a photo of the back. What does inscription say/mean? Ian.. (somebody) Name of a knight? Thank you for any comments

    The knight looks like St George.

    I think it's a memorial plaque of some sort, for a knight or gentleman.

    Volsteedt seems to be a very South African surname, so a S African address makes sense.

    Yes, it does. Especially combined with the imagery of St. George.
