This was at my thrift, I usually would pass on a pitcher/wash basin set because I don't think they sell well anymore (plus trying to stick with smaller items), but this had such an unusual pattern I had to buy it. Already dated it, based on the stamp, to 1923-36. I'm used to seeing these in sort of fancy floral designs, this looks kind of Deco.

    What do you think?

I don't sell porcelain any more, too much breakage, but that would have been tempting....so tempting....

I concur. It's beautiful. It has a strange blend of deco to it.
Is that my bad eyesight, or is that a bird with no feet?

Nice transitional aesthetic Art Nouveau to Deco. It's a goose, by the way. With water lilies and reeds.

I'm glad others like it, too. Thanks for taking a look.

It has a couple of condition issues, which means it would be best just as a decorative piece. Everything feels quite solid and the paint is strong which is great. However there is one flea bite on the rim of the bowl (touched up by a former owner) but also two deep crazing lines or cracks (see below), one inside the pitcher and one in the bowl. The one in the bowl is not visible when you turn the bowl over, so somewhat shallow. The pitcher has one coming off the top rim visible on both sides for about 5 inches, but very tight. I bought it anyway as it was thrift store pricing and honestly I'd just never seen similar.

I will keep this for a while, but don't really have a good spot, so eventually will resell with local pick up, possibly on Craigslist. Cannot imagine shipping these. With this damage, would $50-75 be in the ball park? (I could also list on Ebay with pick up only, start low and just see what happens.)
