Hello! Recently i was cleaning out the estate of my late great uncle. I have found a full set of Adam and a full set of Eve gold plates. Im curious of the estimated value(speculative, i know they will only sell what someone wants to pay), and im also interested to know the best place to sell these items. I also have a full set of adam coasters. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks, Austin

I looked them up. They sell on home decorator sites. Not antiques. My suggestion is you look at one of those china replacement sites.

None of my relatives left anything of great value. This looks like a good find.

I think he's got a storage box on a drag anchor somewhere. Davey Jones' Storage Locker!

(waves hand) Some of us are neither particularly old, although I feel about 80, or valuable. (I'd scrap out at about 50 cents at this point.)

I admit to being old. Not sure how much I'm worth as scrap, but I know how to scrap.

I am not sure how to post photos on this site, but they are real fornasetti's. I have found an art dealer that can sell them for me, is that going to be the best route for selling them?

If yall want to see photos, i can email someone pictures to post.

I doubt brokering them will be the best route unless the rate is relatively low. You can probably auction these at 25-30% through many different houses or on ebay at 10% (more like 15% once paypal and other fees are figured in). Would think most art brokers want 50%. This still could be a good deal if getting top dollar. You would have more risk with an auction house and you probably would not get top dollar through ebay. You have to weigh your options and choose accordingly.
