    Can anyone give me a date/ period on this 2 1/4" pierced sterling faceted amethyst? pin? Thank you!

    I don't know, but does it have writing at the top of the back?

    post 1910 by the looks of the clasp from this angle....it looks like a mid century design if that helps

    ster is short for sterling

    yes it is stamped "STER" (short of course for STERLING!)

    Very Mackintosh. I'd have said 1930s. That STER mark is found on British and Aussie stuff.

    Well, I know STER is sterling.. But you didn't mention it, so I did, and is that an "A" or what?

    One of the members who know silver marks better than I do - may be able to identify that for you. I am surprised I saw it at all, looked like an A or a 4 but I see it is actually a nice small mark! I'm just happy to have seen it at all!

    I think this is a lovely pin. :joyful:
