P1160412.JPG P1160418.JPG P1160429.JPG This painting was written in the 19th century? Or at what time? Perhaps the 18th century? Or is it the end of the 19th century?

Does it represent any value? It can be seen that the painting has quite old restorations?

Yes, it is antique, I don't know the exact period.
It looks like a painting from a monastery or convent. In the West religious paintings are often difficult to sell, but that may be different in Russia, because of the religious revival. She does have a sweet face, that helps.

Can you take a close-up photograph of the back of the canvas? That may help dating it.

The weave and color of the canvas looks like mid to late 1800's. Can you see any nails on the stretcher? Nails can also help with dating it.

It is clear, thanks, you think that it is the middle, the second half of the 19th century?

    I can't photograph a nail yet.

    I removed the frame.
It seems that there is a double canvas!

The painting is glued on one more canvas! Canvas is duplicated.

More precisely, I have a feeling that the old canvas is glued to a newer one (which you dated to the middle of the 19th century)

The canvas might have been "re-lined."

Well, yes, a feeling that the picture in the 19th century was transferred to a new foundation.

    What do you think?
It looks like the picture was cut and pasted on another canvas? P1160446.JPG

Apparently That is a painting of a nun. Definitely religiously affiliated. Google image search 1800s nun and tell me she doesn't fit the profile

Search Google? Sorry, did not understand what this means?

I think that the picture may have been written earlier than the 19th century, since it was pasted onto a new canvas?

It is unlikely that she was so worn out in the 19th century that she needed to be glued to a new canvas?

Use google.com/images and input the search term "1800's nun" and similar looking pictures will come up. Although they are literally photographs

And is this a nun? More like a Madonna like?
I looked in Google, nineteenth-century nuns are not very similar))
