These two pen and watercolor pieces were advertised as 1890-1900. They are signed AGK. They are 9 x 12 inches. They seem to be actual watercolors to my very inexpert eye. I found several references to smaller pieces by this artist with the same subject matter - Dickensian characters. These smaller ones were in the 6 to 7 inch range. Do mine just have more space around them and therefore are the same size, just not matted?
Each is claimed to be a watercolor. I am very confused. Where these cranked out by the artist or are these printed outlines filled in with watercolor or are these prints?
They have very simple frames. Would like to learn. Can anyone tell me what is going on here, please.
