Hi, i acquired this today at a local thrift shop. I thought it was kind of neat and for a couple of bucks i bought it. I really dont know what its used for and if it has any age at all? I thought it might be for putting pickles on it or whatever. I was wondering if anyone could help me identify this. If anyone has any information that would be great thanks! Also, the top part has a rough surface as seen in the closeup as shown in picture three.

Too me it looks like two pieces of glass were fuzzed with the pattern inbetween and slumped over a for to create this very shallow bowl. 30 years ago there were shops for people to go into who had the supplies and kilns to make these. One of the commercial makers was Higgens but I doubt this is his.

Thanks george! Yes you are right cause when I saw it I did notice the paper in the glass. I'll probably just keep it I like it. Thanks again for the info!
