This Postcard was professionally framed. I could not make out the writing (Grandpa McCoy) until I removed it.
It measures 5 3/8" by 3.5", has it been cut. How do I Describe it ??

I think you mean RPPC which stands for Real Photograph Post Card, which yours is.

I'd think it's from the teens rather than the 20s?

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I think that type of postcard usually measures 5.5" x 3.5" so if it is cut, it would not be very much. I can't tell from your photo.

I think this would date generally from 1905-1915 or so. From what I can tell online, women's bathing suits started changing away from the long skirts about that time.

The area where the stamp is placed - says something - and whatever it is that may help with age and ID of card.

It looks like it's the original size. RPPCs are normally printed to the edge, without a border.

Divided back postcards, which this is, weren't used until March 1907 so the card would have been printed after that. The photo might have been taken earlier, however.

Looking online, I'm getting the feeling that the women's bathing suits were pre-1910.

I agree with Lefton that whatever it says in the stamp area may help identify the printing process and/or printer, which could then help date the card.

The stamp box says Cyko. Playle dates it's use from 1904 to the 1920's.

Edit - Guess I should have refreshed before posting
