    Hi Fellow Antiquers!

I was hoping to ID some magic lantern photos, I have looked at image reverse search engines but they are not coming back with any answers and perhaps there is someone here who would know what these buildings are or maybe at least the area / town.

    Could you help please?

Ok sorry, I got them on one of the auctions in UK- they are the magic lantern glass 3.25 x 3.25 slides.

I have tried to upload a larger photos however the limit is 1MB.

I believe that the buildings are somewhere in UK, they appear to be British architecture.

It is a good point Debora, I have not seen the "Public Library" sign. I will do some research on this.

Also, from what I read from the auction description they are circa 1910.

I was thinking a bit newer than 1910 given the styling of the car.

THE BRITISH MOTOR CORPORATION IS FORMED
Following World War II there was a need for restructuring in the British Motor Industry, this saw MG incorporated into one company that included its partners such as Morris and Riley alongside rivals like Austin and Wolseley.

There's a sign in front in the third picture - Eccles (something starting with a C?) School.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

The one with the "identify014" file name has a small sign to the right. When enlarged, it says "Eccles Grammar School." Possibly the one that existed from 1911-1977, according to this archive site (which I haven't perused yet).

Looking a little bit on that site there are some photos of the school that have some architectural details in common. I think it's likely.

Apparently the school was well loved. Lots on that site about it!

Oh, we were posting at the same time! I had to save the photo and enlarge it with photo editing software to read it.

The other photo that is a bit blurry is some sort of church. I see a cross on the top of the side that is to the left in the photo.

Yes- This definitely looks like the school from the link.

I was not expecting this level of response on this thread, thank you for helping with this.

That car is from the early 50's so agree with @komokwa no chance these slides are from 1910

The woman in front of the church is wearing a longish skirt. 1930s or New Look post-War. Dating of cars would be definite.
