Does anyone have any idea of the period of the Hobé label, along with the Hobé Chinese jade and cloisonné enamel articulated fish necklace?
The spacer beads are glass, the spring clasp and ring are 14k gold filled (marked).
    Thanks for looking.

Late - sometimes in the 1980s. I'd have said one of the ones made after the company closed, but for the lack of barcode/EAN. Not one of the really collectible pieces.

It's always worth looking on RCJ or Cathy Gordon's site or morning glory for this sort of thing, nearly always answers it.

My sister-in-law brought me that exact fish from China in the 1980's sometime.

That wouldn't surprise me at all. The company went in with all sorts, including Majorica for pearls. Those wee cloisonne carp are usually Chinese. I suspect the whole necklace came from there.

I have a whole school of them, including antique ones. Don't know why I keep buying them, maybe it's a fascination with the articulation. But I do know whatever the reason, is why I bought this one. I only buy Hobé Chinese pieces, have several of their 1940s-50s Guanyins set in opulent mounts, and those Imperial jade disc pendants with opal, ruby and sapphire.
Yes, I did, couldn't find this particular label.

Good one:playful:! That is why I called it Chinese:D.
Hobé commissioned a lot of jewellery in China, and this necklace is in a very Chinese style. The only fashion jewellery aspect is those glass spacers, a traditional Chinese icy jade necklace of this type would be threaded on knotted silk.
