Pearls 14kt

    I will post a pic in a little bit.. but I picked up a pearl necklace and bracelet both are marked 14kt, so if they are marked 14kt they should be a fairly good pearl right?.. I will pot a pic as soon as I get home

    If you want to know if the pearls are real, rub your front tooth over one.
    If it feels like sandpaper it is real. If it is smooth, the pearl is costume.

    Clasps can be changed.

    if I have to guess, they're Chinese freshwaters. They have a 14k clasp, but they aren't high grade ones. The pearls aren't knotted between each bead either from what I can see. That's another indicator.

    They are 2019-01-26-23-39-05.jpg 2019-01-26-23-39-27.jpg knotted but only on each side of clasp 4 or 5

    That's odd. Only knots near the clasp.

    The cord usually breaks near the clasp, that's why. I'm with the others, probably Chinese and no great quality. Just pretty, and better than the ones with a base metal claps. I usually wear these with an antique gold pendant.
