Peacock feather ?

    Wondering what this is and if it has any value?

    The top row are peacock feathers, but the other feathers look like from other types of birds. The bead work is very nice, I would think probably hand done.

    My guess is it was used as a fan?

    Oh, and in case you're not familiar with bead terminology, the roundish ones are called "seed beads" and the tubular ones called "bugle beads."

    Most of the other feathers appear to be pheasant feathers, with the exception of the white spotted ones in the row next to the beading, which are probably guinea hen.

    Thanks! I was thinking maybe a fan. There are no signs of it being hung up like a wall hanging. The back is all black material with a velvet feel.

    I get a 20s vibe from it but it could be from another era.

    In the middle looks like ruffed grouse tail feathers

    Probably a relatively recent US creation

    Can you show the back please? These were popular here in the 19th C. Not saying it's as old as that.

    I mentioned a '20s vibe, but looking at it again, if it were from the 20s I think it would be more delicate looking.
