I really liked it because it is still a quality piece, although its just a simplified design and the stones are just glass, instead of the old cut diamonds it would have had if it were a real Flemish cross pendant.
You can see some of my Flemish pendants where I think the maker of this cross got his inspiration from, although these are older, have a much better degree of detail and have foiled back senailles as stones, which is very labour-intensive to produce.
I believe this cross is made around 1900 or a bit later, and am I right to believe it could have been made by The Parisian Diamond Company or a similar firm?
I noticed they also made their own version of a Flemish Heart pendant. (That illustration is not my own).
    What are your opinions?

@kyratango has been researching the Parisian Diamond Company, who aren't Parisian or even French, if I remember correctly.

Really pretty cross, even if it isn't Flemish.:) Needless to say, the others are gorgeous.

Any Jewelry, thank you very much for your reply.
Yes, I think I read somewhere the whole Parisian Diamond Company thread. It was really interesting!
I guess, next to my love for the real deal, I also have a fascination about the more modest versions of jewelry, and the people who made/owned them.
Maybe you could say these sort of firms are the 3Suisses of their own time :joyful:

There is something for everyone, and it all belongs in the world of jewellery and jewellery appreciation. I like this cutie, and the Parisian Diamond Company is a good name.

    Wow! A beauty! I don't recognize their mark, can't read it either:oops:

It is, IMO, an oldie (the rounded square shape of the rhinestones, and the back design)! French probably with the marks placement...

Parisian Diamond Company was far above the 3 Suisse's level, their premises on Regent Street were high end!!!

Kyratango, thank you very much for your reply and your opinion about the cross.
What a lovely lovebirds-heart you have!
    Indeed, the marks look different.

Yes you are right, the rhinestones are square and very good quality.

So, maybe the Parisian Diamond Company could be Innovation-level? :cat:
We visited Printemps and Galeries Lafayette with the girls a few weeks ago and those interiors were amazing!

650AAD27-BA06-430C-9960-47769C584DEA.jpeg Kyratango, I m sorry, I thought Inno was French but apparently its Belgian. (And of a lesser level than I imagined it was).

We had Inno magasins too
Printemps and Galeries Lafayette are master works of art for their architectural decors, the stained glass rotondes!:woot::woot::woot:

I don’t remember if the lovebirds are mine... it was an archive pic for the mark!

I have collected so many pieces of what I called the « mysterious maker etruscan urn mark » through years!!!
I was really happy to be able to identify the Parisian Diamond Company as at least the retailer of these beauties, relating some of my pieces to the exact ones on the adverts!

We even had one in our town.;)

Dessert, the Flemish Heart-like pendant you circled in the ad will do me nicely too. A real one would be even better, but I don't think I'll ever be able to afford one.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Was able to clarify this a "bit", but not sure it's enough to be readable at all......

Kyratango, what a fantastic journey that search for the 'mysterious maker etruscian urn mark' was!
Did you finally get to find a full catalogue?

Any Jewelry I still need one last heart, because I have three children ;):zombie::nailbiting:
These Flemish Hearts were supposed to be given by the children to their mothers on Mother's day (Antwerpian mothers day or 'Maria Hemelvaart' 15/8 or 8/5 for the rest of the world).

I saw a newer version of a Flemish heart a few months ago though, but I didn't buy because it was bad quality in my opinion, and missing its upper part.
i ll try to see if I took any pictures.

You can clearly see its not as well made as the older ones are, and the stones are just paste. And missing its upper part: a bow and arrow or a leaves crown

Kyratango, 'the good eye': that sounds like something you would say to a sorcerer/witch :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

jadeite is out of my league: its so difficult to see the difference between good/bad/ugly for me. Maybe someday I will finally 'see' it! :hilarious:

And yes, sure, I want all those things for change money, please, and in excellent shape! We dont go for less (the only exception I make is Flemish jewelry, unfortunately they are my soft spot, even the ones in bad shape). :sorry:

I scored green jade earrings last weekend. They're green and white jade but I won't kick them out of bed for eating crackers. Still got my eyes peeled for Pools of Light, Victorian sapphiret, etc. I don't expect to find any, but that's no reason not to look.
