Hi all.Wasnt sure where this might go so if this isnt right, please move it mods. I picked up thius pretty thing thnking it just some repro, but when I got it home I started thinking its better quality than most repros. Its 17 inches high to the finial, the shade is 11 inches wide, the base is 6. If it is just a better repro Im ok cause its pretty and I paid a hot $5 .Any input always appreciated.

Does the plug/cord look older? (Of course could always have been re-wired.)

I'm getting kind of a newer vibe or vintage vibe from this, but could be wrong. Not really an expert in these. Certainly a deal at $5 either way. It's a pretty lamp.

Yeah,it looks like the wiring and the socket are newer. Ive been looking and looking and Im beginning to suspect its a Dale Tiffany version of a Pairpoint ! It sure is nicely done regardless.

Newer for sure. Most Pairpoint lamps and shades are well marked.

Yeah,I do now believe its a Dale Tiffany . Mother has already decided she has to have it in her bedroom,so its worth the $5 to not have her complaining about all the "stuff" (not HER word!) I drag in !

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

She sees the value of you doing that, especially if she likes the items!

I bought a couple of these rather decent Tiffanyesque table lamps brand new some twenty years ago myself (to think that I was in a hurry to furnish the house and now it's bursting at the seams!) together with a huge impressionistoid painting and they have now gone vintage on me. If they survive, in 200 years they will pass muster as "late examples" in someone's sale catalogue.
