Featured Pair of Hollywood Regency 'Marbro' Lamps-Big

    Just go these over the weekend,no shades.They were really cheap and when I looked up the maker- Marbro,decided to give it a shot.The marbleized gold finish is original-you could order custom finials,bases,shades,etc. from the shop.
    May keep or not-they're really big,39" tall.
    The last pic is a candle holder we've already got,that except for the finish-kinda blends ? lamp1.jpg lamp2.jpg lamps3.jpg candle bronze 2.jpg

    I think these repros are considered done in the 'Archaistic' style of earlier orig Shang. (imitative of an archaic style or manner).

    Marbro commissioned glass pieces from Murano,brass & bronze casts from India to be used in their lamp bases.
    They also used actual antiques (some supplied by their clients) to be incorporated into their pieces.
    Most of their product was probably sourced by interior decorators.
