    Hi,

These appear to be brush and palette knife amateur pieces. I'm wondering if anyone recognizes the artists and hoping for some honest opinions on the quality. The artist of the nautical pic (appears to be signed Graves) seems to have some understanding of "movement." A friend of mine commented that she thought the sail would have looked much better white. The artist of the flowered piece appears to be Anne Vallay.

Thanks in advance for any comments/replies.

I think your first is by a talented amateur. I find the framing of the subject odd. Your second may be a factory painting or an enhanced print on canvas. I can find no reference to an artist by this name. The numbers on the back are also typical of factory paintings.
