I've posted a year ago on the Ebay boards but I've completely forgotten about the piece. Any keywords?
    Thanks

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Kard, this is my favorite painting you've posted so far. I love the "snapshot" immediacy that I feel. The figures are minimalist yet beautiful in proportion and pose. Looks like a porch or such. Maybe a cabin party. Maybe lake in background. I really like it!
Will see what I can dredge up as far as signature.

I like it very much too . Those look like cypress trees , so it might be florida or Louisiana .

The siggy could be Chris or similar.
Does not look quite like a party :)

    zeitgeist, expressionist

Take a look at Alice Neel's wiki - she was a major American portrait artist (this is a group portrait, in my mind). Critics always mentioned her work capturing the spirit of the time or people's inner lives, which they do.

If you're brave, you can go on vodlocker and watch a great documentary on her...

or even David Hockney Much different style, but same idea...

Might be considered a modern social realist painting.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I think I'd call it "Into One's Self" ......they all look kind of disconnected from each other, yet, each deep in their own thoughts.....its nice....I like it!!
