Obviously a Cajun scene,I couldnt find anything on her either so I asssume she was a "sunday painter". Charming scene,Id have bought it.

 

This might be she: 1900-1984 Rensselaer, NY. A number of mentions in the POUGHKEEPSIE JOURNAL about here.

Grace K T Pecheux, wife of John F Pecheux (apparently her second husband,) was born in 1900 and died in 1984, last residence Troy, NY. Previous husband's surname Tomlinson, with whom she had at least one child Donald. Donald was a Captain in the US Army and was killed in France in 1944. Because of her relationship to him, she was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

You're welcome! The info I posted I got on plain, old Ancestry. I have not "upgraded" to add Newspapers or Fold3. They get enough of my $$ already.

 

Thanks all. I decided to pass on it for now. Too hard to sell Sunday painters even if nicely done.
