Painting Initials

Anyone recognizes the signature?

 

Could be another one of those real Thames (or some other river) scenes - we had one on recently... but it looks like a photograph with paint...

Well, some of the elements on the image look like an painter's expression of something - like the steeple and the child(?). But (especially) the dark spots in the water look like the painter wasn't actually looking at it as a whole - and the trees above the same. Copying from a pale image under that milky layer.

 

These dark areas do not reflect the plane of the water.

 

I'm more intrigued by why there is so much pink in the sky when the rest of the painting looks like the sun should be relatively high in the sky.

What are we seeing in your latest series of images, Kard? Where you say "something is not right"

 

By not right I mean, is this a painting or overpainted print or so?
The upper right corner has some text bleeding.

 

Ah. I saw the text bleeding but couldn't tell where it was in the whole. Overpainted photograph? A lot of the foliage looks very detailed - but the fellow in the boat is a mess.

 

So there is neither board nor actual canvas, right? How many layers are there behind the image?

That looks like soft wallboard covered with a blanket of *probably* acrylic paint on loose weave fabric.
