Featured Paging Dawn: chairs for you. ;)

These were in a Devon charity shop last week. A whole £20 each - but they wouldn't fit in my handbag.

 

They look remarkably like some chairs from the old University Club here in Chicago - though the did away with them about a decade ago.............love them.............

 

One was absolutely perfect, the other needed the seat supporting. Amazingly cheap.

 

Damn they're too big to post! My margain on those would be heaven!

I'm going to go look at a chair made from the beam of a church Shakespheres chair is in today. Minerature version. Much research necessary lol.

Sorry you carry such a dinky handbag ;( I'm pretty sure I could make 'em fit on the roof of my car - well maybe two trips

Animal heads rather than eagles. The photo was in a dark room on my phone, so not wonderful.

 

Hmmm... "eagles on the legs(?)" and "Animal heads rather than eagles." I don't see anything carved on the legs, and I don't see animal heads anywhere. I see carved acanthus leaves or fronds on the arm supports of the chair. Am I missing something? I may need another cup of coffee.
