I ran across this the other day ( art is not my niche) but it spoke loudly to me lol! My questions are is the condition it’s in make a huge difference in value? And where would I find out Value of her pieces if there is any at this point ? I did read her Bio WOW! Thank you
Oops I apologize, I don’t know what you mean by medium , I am very new to posting , art , and this forum ? Please forgive me Lol!
Not a problem at all. Here's a quick definition of medium cribbed from the internet. An artwork's medium refers to the different materials or supplies that an artist utilizes in order to create a work of art. In painting, medium can refer to both the type of paint used (oil, acrylic, watercolor, etc) and the base or ground to which the paint is applied (canvas, wood, paper, etc). Debra
Is it a painting on paper? Most likely. You can go to any frame shop and they’ll tell you. She’s gone and is very collectible. Yes condition AND SIZE highly affect value but in general her works on paper bring $1000-$2500 in good condition.
Oh ok thank you!! Honestly I have not a clue. I read about her and her art , and she started out using watercolor, then moved on to what she called earth painting- using crushed up minerals rocks etc…. To make her paints …It’s on cardboard type feeling material…The paint feels rough to the touch …it was just one of those “ feelings” one gets about something lol! Other than that , pottery and glass is really what I like to collect
Yes there are prints too but I’ve only seen limited editions that are numbered. I was just in one of her dealers The OP could ask them-Blue Rain in Santa Fe NM. Condition appears very questionable re:value.
Not a bunch that I am aware of …. I saw a few Others but did not see the particular one I have , that I have found as of yet
Thank you for info!! I inquired on an auction site this Am , to a member that has sold some of her earth work , and she is going to put on her detective hat and do some more research- apparently this is very early , One other she had seen , not identical to this , but fairly close . I am just surprised the color is exceptionally bright , as apposed to the other she showed …..Thank you again for your help & info! I read on ( medium) to educate myself , as art is not the area of collecting I do
