Nice, probably good investments too given the provenance.

Wow,except for a few pieces prices for Orr seem to have fallen considerably.

Will be interesting to see the hammer prices, how they come up with the estimates is sometimes strategic.

I WAS interested in bidding on lot #188 (Holt Howard pieces). Shipping from New Jersey to Michigan a WHOPPING $278.00!!

    Plus....26% buyer's commission.

    No thanks :(

I did a High-low Estimate sort, and a jug by Martin Brothers is already at its high estimate. The rest vary between expected and downright anemic.

Things will no doubt go high due to the connection with the Kovels.

Very interesting to see what they collected. Thanks for posting, Joe!

Hope they go higher than this. Some lots have no bids yet at all. That Martin Brothers jug, btw, is back down below estimate. Either I goofed or someone withdrew a bid.

Shipping is often high especially on lots. As a rule of thumb I use $30 per item plus 50-100 for postage especially if they are several postal zones away. There is a huge advantage for pickup buyers on lots and heavy items. I watch my local auction for big lots and big heavy items (pedestals, jades, etc).

Here's some of the highest Ohr hammer prices (31% premium - ouch), not included -
