Orrefors Vase

Trying to figure the designer. I found that gray pieces were made by Sven Palmqvist and Nils Landrberg ( and maybe others?). Not sure what this one reads, p/u or so? The Sven pieces seems to be signed with "pu" with no slash. Any suggestions?

I honestly can't read anything from your photos, but here's a list of Orrefors designers. Since you have the piece in front of you, maybe you can tell if it looks like one of these:

Did you try rubbing a little cornstarch or baby powder into the mark to see if any letters stand out?

I had a very similar vase that I ended up selling on ebay for $60.00 despite trying for more initially.

 

I also thought the same at first but his pieces are signed with NU. I think I see P/U here. Also, I've notices that Nil's vases have clear on the sides.
Probably it won't matter who was the designer in this case. It's a hard sell anyway.

 

I don't see where it says Orrefors.


Is it possible it is another company?

 

If I have not seen Orrefors signatures before, I'd think it reads something else.

I think what you are seeing as Jans is the tail end of the Orrefors signature. This threw me on a couple other pieces. The last pic there is the Orre part.

Look at these for comparison.....

I think the "P" might possibly be for Sven Palmqvist

And BTW Kard, I have seen plenty of Orrefors siggies. I just wasn't seeing it in your pictures. Sorry.
