Morocco. I have a twin and my husband got it in Morocco about 8 years ago. I'd love to get it cleaned, but the local dry cleaner didn't want to try because they were afraid the dyes weren't color fast.

    So compatible with Bedouin?
By the way, here is a little purse bought in Morroco circa 1960 by a relative who was on some sort of college trip...

that is quite all right Galeria Gila, I LOVE looking at items and learning,(should have done more of it before I bought) but I wasnt very familiar with computers then, Bev can this be classified as Bedouin I searched yest didnt find any that looked exactly like this one, was shocked at prices they are listed,

No, Moroccan isn't associated with Bedouin. Different cultures.

Bev, since Nancy is so generous... do you mind giving me an impression of my little Morrocan purse, above?

The man at cleaners is right, coloured wool used for applications is probably dyed with reactive colours, but the wall kilim is hand knotted and it has a decent density(knots per square inch). It is made from undyed wool and it will last couple of ages if moths dont get to it.

Welllll... let's just say that it likes to have its back to the wall so it can't be sneaked up on. Upon. Snuck. So that up upon which it can't be sneaked.
    Pinche English!
    Okay... it was naughty.
