Origins of this vase?

    Is anyone clever enough to please identify these vases? Looks like it was decorated with slip trailing and then hand painted, similar in style to Moorcroft Pottery. They only have a generic crown insignia so difficult to identify. Thank you.

    Tupton Ware, the decoration technique is called tubelined.

    A new one on me! So pretty much copies of Moorcroft eh?

    Interesting that a product introduced in 2002 would be marketed as "Old Tupton" ware ...:rolleyes:

    Maybe they are new,but they are so pretty Id buy them anyway !

    Apparently this stuff, although named after "Ye Olde Little village in jolly old England ETC" comes with a "Made in China" sticker attached when new ..:D:D:D:D:D

    I like this stuff. It's well made and sometimes rather nicer than modern Moorcroft.

    While I agree it may be a somewhat well made copy, it is still a copy.

    I think original modern productions that freely admit their origins are a better purchase, e.g. Franz porcelains produced in Taiwan.
