Oriental Persian Carpet I.D. Help??

What type is this 7 ft. x 10 ft. carpet?...Any help appreciated.

 

What's going on with that label? What is it attached beneath? Is that one of the side edges of the carpet?

Looks machine made at first blush - the bottom does not match the front exactly, which it should in a handknotted rug.

 

I also was wondering about the label,thought it might be a signature??....There is a leather strip that run down 2 sides,I was told it is to keep the rug from unraveling...I believe it is handmade...the subtle differences in the similar designs,made me think it is.

 

I've never seen or even heard of attaching leather strips to "keep it from unraveling." And from what I can see from the first picture (of the most of the whole carpet) the edges are well bound in the usual over-stitching. Can you show more of the leather and how it is attached to the carpet? (BTW - if anything looks like it might be in danger of unraveling it's the fringed edges which usually have a several inch wide tight knotting of the foundation threads which culminate in the fringe.)

It has a very modern look, both design and colors. Could be Pakistani.
