oriental Brass

    HI, Alison. You should have some experts along pretty soon. Does not include me. In the meantime you might add some other pics, especially bottom, on this and your oriental couple. The couple seem to be on wood bases. Maybe with no markings, but it still helps. Size also helps a lot.

    Size would also be helpful.
    1960s Hong Kong looks about right for the bucket with coral and turquoise

    Is it large enough to be an ice bucket?

    Bucket is 5" high by 5.5" wide at the top (not including handle), The dish is 4" high by 7" wide and after asking family again, these were definitely bought in Hong Kong in the lat 12950s early 60s, but my grandparents used to like to shop in antique shops back then so not sure of age.

    Look typical of Chinese work. I don't believe these are particularly old so probably new when they bought them.
