    Hi everybody,

Item nr #2 of the day.
This afternoon I bought it at an antique shop:

Opaline Glass Pedestal Dish, with a Silver Base.

2 months ago I visited the shop also. I told him that I thought it was French, probably Charles X or something, and he confirmed it.

Today I came for the 3rd time, asking for a lower price :p
And this time he told me it was Dutch....

Even though I still believe it's French, I'm not sure.
If anything other I'd probably say Bohemian.

Anyways, I bought it, and when I came home I found out the glas contains uranium.
    (see pictures)

    -Opaline Glass.
    -Uranium
    -Handpainted (Floral)
    -Silver base.

    Height: 10,5 cm.
    Diameter: 18 cm.

    Unfortunately I can't see/read the silver marks.
Maybe somebody with more knowledge could recognize them.

I tried my best to get it on the pics.
Hpoefully somebody can help me with it.

Thank you very much in advance!!

I could only find the "VK-mark", with the half moon and 2 dots above it.

    Yearletter, I believe is "M".

The rest I can't figure out really.

I think i have figured it out.

    -This "M" : 1881.

-Minerva-head, very hard to see.. but I believe there's a small "A" in it, which means it's marked in Amsterdam.

-The lion walking towards the right... (No wonder I, as a beginner, didn't see that), cause only the half of it is impressed. With a little "2". So it's 2nd grade silver. 835/1000.

-"V.K." with 2 dots and half a moon above it: Van Kempen.

Althought I see multiple "van Kempen"-combinations pass by.
Van Kempen and Sons, and some other.

At least now I know it's not French or Bohemian at all,
    but closer to home [IMG];)

DragonFlyWink, thank you very much for your help!!

    I agree with the 1881, but look again at the table - that's a W. ;)
