    Was it your profession? Do you still make jewellery, I'd love to see more of your work :)

    I was a gold/platinum smith for a number of years.Since retiring I just play around a little as I have only some hand tools and a small bench.At one time I probably made hundreds of "fur trade" silver pieces as a hobby when it was too wet or hot outside.I find it more relaxing than than knitting/crocheting.

    Aahhh, that is a profession I regret to not thought about when I was young:rolleyes:
    So... "only" cold work now :joyful: or you have material for soldering?
    And I can agree it is relaxing (if you don't curse when something go bad:facepalm:);)

    I have a mini torch but rarely use it.The compass box in my avatar was made by me when I was in a wood working mood,there are a few other photos in my media gallery .

    Hi Hollyblue,
    I could kick myself now. Several years ago I saw one of your pins for sale at a craft show(the cat tail). I almost bought it but I spent my money on one of my spider pins. Since I no longer have that pin I would have preferred having yours!!!!
    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    I made a number of one of a kind pieces years ago,many went to relatives and friends.They wanted fur trade type pieces but did not want them to be of historical themes.I may have a pattern sheet with coyotes howling at the moon that someone from the SW ordered.

    Hi Hollyblue,
    Thanks for the update. I can only hope it was NOT yours but perhaps a copycat,
    I can not remember for sure the pin was scalloped and not just a disc. The cats reminded me of the fireplace cutouts I used to make for people.
