Older patch.... Chief Wireless?

    Got this at an estate sale. I think the former owner was a radio operator, not sure if this was from his military service or not.

    Wasn't sure how to describe this, all thoughts, keywords, suggestions much appreciated. 3" across. Thanks.

    Now seeing thing on Ebay under "Grace line", nothing quite like this, though.

    What does "Chief Wireless" refer to? Any thoughts?
