This was .99 at the thrift, although kind of nice in its own way, I'm sure it doesn't have much resale value, but was curious about it. It reminded me the tiniest bit of an older German glass I sold once. Any ideas about age/origin of this one? Thanks.

The toothpick collectors call the one they have, (similar but without the foot) "Framed Ovals." This is not an "official' name. Its's manufacturer is unknown but it is listed in the 'Foreign" manufacturers. This is a pressed copy of an earlier blown and cut form, ca 1800 or before.

EAPGpatterns has this as a 'brandy' glass and called "Shane" with maker unknown; flint glass from 1860s
