OLD WOOD CARVING - WHAT IS IT?

    I found this a few days ago in a friend's storage unit - what is it? Decorative?
    Any idea where it's from? the people dancing make me think Thai or similar, but the animal on the top makes me think Eskimo?
    It is 16" tall.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

    JOURNEYMAGAZINE - WHY ARE THE TITLES OF YOUR POSTS ALWAYS IN SOLID CAPS? COULD YOU CHANGE THAT OR SHOULD WE ALL BE POSTING TITLES IN SOLID CAPS? IF YOU FEEL THE NEED TO CONTINUE TO DO IT (AND HOPEFULLY YOU WON'T), MAYBE SAVE IT FOR THE FEW THAT ARE THE MOST INTERESTING?
