First name is a mystery, but the surname looks like Markus.

 

wow... it doesn't look hard to read... until you try to read it.

I see Marhus, but could go with Markus. Or Marrus. I suspect the artist was oldish in 1981 (just because of the handwriting).

 

You could be right with an h instead of a k, Jivvy. I went with something more likely in the US, but with that strange first name an unusual last name makes sense.

 

I keep seeing Ildenia Marhus... but then wonder whether the dot near the end of the first name should go over the last letter, which means it would end with an "i."
