Old Vintage Tool-Need Help Identifying This Please

  1. Hi guys,

    I found this old tool at an estate sale. Not sure what it is used for, what it's called and what year it's from. Can someone help me identify this please?

    I would say its a chisel of some sort.

    The way the handle is shaped suggests it was made to be struck, even if only by the palm of a hand. Perhaps a sculptor's tool, for softer stone or clay?

    Maybe for some sort of softer stone carving because of the wooden handle.
